Stainless steel mirror polished radiator panel that not only enhances the engine look, but is very needed in an MX5 to direct the air through the radiator and keep the engine temperatures low. The Jass radiator panel is bend at the rear for a tight air insulation, improved stiffness and finished look.
Installs at existing fixing points in the car with the provided hardware.
This version was made without the middle cutout for the OEM catch. It provides better air guidance and look, the bonnet is however secured with aftermarket catches.
Important notes:
Please note, some of the very early 1.6 models (before 1991 and so far found only in Europe) do not have cutouts at the front for fixing the panel (this version or even the OEM plastic ones). If you decide to order a panel, there is still a way to attach it, but two 8mm drills need to be considered for this.
The early US 1.6 models might have the front collision sensor and harness in the way of the radiator panel (visible above, next to the hood latch) and will prevent flush installation of the panel. This sensor is held at the same bolt below on all other cars (later US, EU, UK etc).
