Handy and important tool, when the next timing belt or cam gear seal changes are due. The tool locks the two camshafts steady in position and allows stressless work on the gears or belts.
The two ends of the tools are made to fit the two camshaft nuts in the early and later engines, so it works for MX5/Miata/Eunos Roadster 1.6 and 1.8 Engines in the MK1, MK2 and MK2.5 cars.
If the one end of the tool does not correspond to your camshaft, please turn it 180 degrees and use the other end. It will be the correct one.
Please note, the tool is made of hardened steel and tested to be capable of holding the camshafts to cracking loose the cam gear bolts. Please note, the tool is not dimensioned to be used as spanner to turn the cams.
Important note: Please be aware, there are cheap direct copies of this product, we developed from scratch. They are not hardened, but even if so, hardening below the correct rate causes the tool to bend (at this thickness) or hardening above - to crack at regular use.
