The adapter joint allows the connection of standard 1/8" NPT water temperature sensor to the front upper water hose. It is the easiest way to install water temperature gauge sensor on an MX5.
Please note, the diameter is 34mm, which allows tighter fit over the 32mm ones on elderly water hoses.
